Sabores de Navidad is the Christmas edition of the Muestra de la Provincia at the Patio de la Diputación, Avenida Menéndez Pelayo 32. Prodetur has announced it for two weekends, 12-13 and 19-20 December 2026. December visitor hours, admission conditions and an exhibitor list had not been published at the research date. Our Seville Christmas guide (PDF) includes a dedicated route for the fair.

What the fair is

The Muestra de la Provincia brings products from the province of Seville to the city across several themed fairs in autumn. Sabores de Navidad is the Christmas one, focused on regional food as gifts or for your own table. The organiser's 2026 calendar confirms the dates. It does not establish that every exhibitor attends both weekends or that all stalls offer the same products.

Save the event name alongside the address. An October announcement about beer and aperitif products describes the same venue, but that does not describe the December offering. The guide also warns against assuming free tastings, workshop places or the October opening hours are Christmas commitments.

Which day to choose

  • Saturday 12 or 19 December: you can combine the fair with a morning at Mercado de Triana, whose shops trade from 9am to 2:30pm. Give Sabores de Navidad its own block afterwards, and set the time once the December programme is out.
  • Sunday 13 or 20 December: the Triana market shops are closed. Focus on the food fair and, if you like, add Centro Cerámica Triana, which normally opens on Sundays.
  • Between the weekends: the calendar shows no continuous trading week. A Tuesday or Wednesday trip is not the same as one of the four listed days.

How to shop for food gifts

Before you go, write down whom you are buying for and which products will travel easily. Then follow the guide's route:

  1. Before setting out: confirm the day's opening window and any conditions.
  2. To begin: get an overview at the Patio before buying anything heavy or delicate.
  3. While shopping: ask about the producer, ingredients, shelf life and storage.
  4. Afterwards: take your purchases back to your accommodation if needed. Another stop is optional.

A small, well-chosen product is often more useful than a large mixed box. Keep a note of the product and producer names. For allergies or dietary needs, descriptions such as traditional or handmade are not enough; ask about the specific item.

Carrying it home

A jar needs protection against knocks and takes more luggage space than you expect. Decide how you will carry things before collecting several jars or bottles. If flying, check the rules for food in your baggage and for your destination country separately; the guide does not replace current advice on this.

Combining the fair with the rest of the weekend

The guide's December weekend route puts Triana on Saturday and Sabores de Navidad on Sunday. On Saturday morning, the Mercado de Triana shops trade from 9am to 2:30pm, and Centro Cerámica Triana opens until 8pm. On Sunday the market shops are closed, which leaves the day free for the Patio de la Diputación. If you choose accommodation for this trip, use Avenida Menéndez Pelayo 32 as one comparison point, but make sure your base also works for your other stops, since the fair runs only on the four listed days.
