Choose your area in Seville by your main reason for the trip: near Calle Fray Ceferino González for the nativity market, near Plaza del Altozano and Calle Callao for Triana, or with Avenida Menéndez Pelayo 32 in mind for Sabores de Navidad. Check access, lifts and luggage storage before booking, and prefer flexible conditions while seasonal dates are unconfirmed. The Seville Christmas guide has an accommodation page with these comparison points.

Start with your reason for visiting

The guide does not review individual hotels and does not promise short walks. Instead, it gives you an address to compare with each listing.

  • Nativity market as your focus: compare the address with Calle Fray Ceferino González, between the cathedral and the Archivo de Indias. Check the actual route and any vehicle-access restrictions with the provider. The word central says little about luggage routes or the entrance.
  • A focus on Triana: for a thorough visit to Mercado de Triana and Centro Cerámica Triana, compare with Plaza del Altozano and Calle Callao. Allow extra travel for anything on the other side of the river.
  • Travelling for Sabores de Navidad: use Avenida Menéndez Pelayo 32 as a reference. The fair runs only on the announced weekends, so your base should also suit your other plans.
  • Adding Santa Paula: a morning at Calle Santa Paula 11 is a separate part of the trip. Do not choose accommodation for this stop alone.

What to check before booking

  • Step-free access: and a lift serving your room's floor, if you need one.
  • Luggage storage: useful on arrival and departure days.
  • Space for delicate purchases: somewhere to put figures, ceramics or jars safely.
  • Change conditions: particularly useful if your main seasonal attraction is not yet confirmed.

Plan around uncertain dates

At the research date, the Feria del Belén season was provisional and the Christmas craft fair had no confirmed 2026/27 edition. The guide advises against choosing accommodation or making a long detour based only on the craft fair's former location in Jardines de Cristina or Plaza Nueva. The two Sabores de Navidad weekends, 12-13 and 19-20 December, are the firmest dates for a booking.

Arrival and the first evening

From the airport, the EA bus stops at several points including Santa Justa, Prado de San Sebastián and Paseo Colón. Pick the stop that suits your accommodation. On the first day, the guide suggests a simple sequence: check in, leave your luggage, check opening hours and choose one area. In the evening, the food and drink businesses at Mercado de Triana list 6pm to midnight from Monday to Saturday; check your chosen one.

One night or two

One night is enough for a single focus, such as the nativity market plus a short walk. Two nights let you follow the guide's December weekend route: Triana's market and ceramics centre on Saturday, Sabores de Navidad on Sunday.

Whatever area you choose, the guide's advice is to keep a short note of the exact addresses you want to reach, so you can compare them with each listing before you book.

Frequently asked questions

Is the old town or Triana better for a Christmas stay?

It depends on your focus. The old town is closer to the nativity market; Triana suits a market and ceramics trip. Compare the exact address with your main stop.

Does the guide recommend specific hotels?

No. It gives comparison points and a checklist, not hotel reviews.

When should I book?

Once your main reason is confirmed, or with flexible conditions if you book earlier.

Our Advent weekend in Seville page shows a two-day plan, and the Seville travel guides collection has the guide in three languages.
